May 2026 – "Regina Caeli!"
""Dixit autem Maria: Ecce ancilla Domini: fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum. Et discessit ab illa angelus." Luke 1:38

Dear Friends in Christ,
Regina Caeli, laetare, alleluia! As we continue in the glorious Eastertide, the Church turns her eyes with special love to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Queen of Heaven and Mother of the Risen Lord. May 2026 invites us to deepen our filial devotion to Our Lady, who stood by the Cross and rejoiced at the Resurrection.
This newsletter continues to support souls faithful to the Traditional Latin Mass (1962 Missal), the perennial doctrines of the Church, and the rich spiritual heritage of Catholicism.
Liturgical Calendar Highlights – May 2026 (1962 Roman Rite)
The Paschal season continues until Pentecost. Important dates include:
- May 1: St. Joseph the Worker (White, Class I)

- May 3: Fourth Sunday after Easter (White)
- May 4: St. Monica, Widow (White)
- May 5: St. Pius V, Pope & Confessor (White)

Attend the Traditional Latin Mass frequently during this joyful season. The Paschal candle remains lit until Ascension, and the Regina Caeli replaces the Angelus.
Featured Devotion: The Month of Mary
May is traditionally dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Families and parishes are encouraged to perform daily May Crownings, pray the Rosary (especially the Glorious Mysteries during Eastertide), and sing Marian hymns such as the Salve Regina or Regina Caeli.
Recommended Practices: Set up a Mary altar in your home with fresh flowers. Offer the Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin Mary or a daily decade for the intentions of the Church.
Featured Saint: St. Joseph the Worker (May 1)
St. Joseph, the foster father of Our Lord and patron of workers, reminds us of the dignity of labor offered to God. In the Traditional calendar, his feast as Worker emphasizes the sanctification of daily toil in union with the Holy Family.
Invoke him especially in these times of economic uncertainty: St. Joseph the Worker, pray for us and for all who labor.

Eastertide / Ascension Reflection
The Traditional Latin Mass shines with particular beauty in Eastertide through its joyful chants and the great feast of the Ascension. Our Lord's departure is not an absence but a promise of the Holy Ghost and His eventual return in glory.
Paschal Greeting remains: "Christus resurrexit! Vere resurrexit! Alleluia!"
Until Ascension, rejoice in the reality that the Risen Christ walks with His Church. After Ascension, prepare for Pentecost by fervent prayer with Our Lady in the Cenacle.
Traditional Practices for the Home
- May Processions: Organize or join a parish procession in honor of Our Lady.
- Family Rosary: Commit to praying it daily before a statue of Mary.
- Ascension Custom: Fly kites or release balloons as a symbol of Christ ascending (a lovely folk tradition).
- Recipe Suggestion: Bake a "Mary Cake" or simple white cake decorated with blue icing and flowers for the month of Mary.
News & Updates from the Traditional World
The continued growth of the Traditional Latin Mass brings great hope, with many young families and vocations drawn to the ancient Rite. Devotion to Our Lady remains strong among traditional Catholics, with increasing pilgrimages to shrines such as Fatima and Lourdes.
Pray for the Church's full restoration of her liturgical and doctrinal patrimony.
Prayer Intentions
- For priests and seminarians in traditional communities.
- For mothers and families, and for the conversion of those far from the Faith.
- For workers and the sanctification of labor through St. Joseph.
- For the souls in Purgatory, especially those who honored Mary in life.
Daily Recommendation: Pray the Regina Caeli at the appropriate hours and meditate on one of the Glorious Mysteries each day.
Closing
May this month of Our Lady draw you closer to her Immaculate Heart and, through her, to her Divine Son. Live the liturgical year with fidelity, support your local Latin Mass community, and teach your children true devotion to the Queen of Heaven.
"To Jesus through Mary" – the sure path of sanctity.
May the Risen Christ and His Blessed Mother bless you abundantly.
In Christo Rege et Maria

Deo Gratias!
